• 東京生まれ／仙台在住

プラモデルに見立てた自分自身の木彫キット「オリヂナル」シリーズなどの立体作品や、赤い羽根で作ったスーツを着て私的な街頭募金活動を行ない、ブルー・シートや工事現場のロープでスーツセット一式を仕立てて東京の街を徘徊するなど、制作したものを身につけて社会に紛れた姿を映像に記録し作品化する。最近はブランド品のバッグや財布の木彫を制作し、それを肩から提げて飛行機に乗り、パリの本店へ行き税関を通って帰国するまでを映像に収めたり、ネットオークションに出品するなどの《ボーダーラインプロジェクト》を行なう。

Besides his three-dimensional works such as the woodcarving kits called the "Original" series presented as a kind of plastic model-kits, TANO, to create artwork, has engaged in personal fundraising activity wearing a suit made of red feathers, or roaming the streets of Tokyo wearing "suits" made of blue tarpaulins and ropes collected from construction sites, and capturing these activities into film. Recently, on his Borderline Projects, he has filmed the following sequence: carrying imitated wood-carved designer bags and purses onto an airplane, visiting the designer's flagship store in Paris, going through the customs at the airport, and finally coming back to Japan. He would then auction those items in online auction sites.
