□ ウェイン・クレメンツ
ロンドン在住のヴィジュアル・アーティスト兼ライター．近年，チェルシー・カレッジ・オブ・アート・アンド・デザイン（ロンドン芸術大学）で美術博士号を取得．主な研究対象は「テキスト（.txt）マシン」と名づけられた，テキストに適用する指示法則で，オンライン上のテキスト素材の選択，生成，操作に関わるものである．彼の詩や小説，ヴィジュアル作品は多くの雑誌で紹介され，サウンド作品（音響詩）はモスクワの国立現代美術センターから出版された『Homo Sonorus, An International Anthology of Sound Poetry』（2001）に掲載されている．これまで数々の賞を受賞，オンライン・アートを集めたサイト http://www.rhizome.org/ ， http://www.runme.org/ や，FILE（サンパウロ，2005/06），ランコントル（パリ／ベルリン，2005），ラディカル・ソフトウェア，ピエモンテ・シェア（トリノ，2006）などのフェスティヴァルで展示されている．現在フリーランスのカタログ製作者として，『Artifact』（http://www.artifact.ac.uk/）に関わるかたわら，チェルシー・カレッジ・オブ・アート・アンド・デザインにて教授の書士を務める．
「コネクティング・ワールド」展への出品作品《un_wiki》（2006年）は，同年のアルス・エレクトロニカ賞ネット・ヴィジョン部門で優秀賞（Award of Distinction）を受賞．

Wayne CLEMENTS is a visual artist and a writer living in London. He recently completed a Ph.D. degree in Fine Art at Chelsea College of Art and Design. His research is into rules and instructions when applied to text. This he characterizes as a 'text (or .txt) machine.' His work involves the selection, generation, and manipulation of text material online. His poetry, prose and visual work are published in a number of magazines, and his sound work (sound poetry) is included in Homo Sonorus, An International Anthology of Sound Poetry published by National Center for Contemporary Art in Moscow (2001). His works were included on the http://www.rhizome.org/ and http://www.runme.org/, repositories of online art, and also shown in FILE Electronic Language International Festival in São Paolo, Brazil (2005/06), Rencontre Festival in Paris/Berlin (2005), "RADICAL SOFTWARE," Piemonte Share Festival in Torino, Italy (2005/06), and so on.
Currently, he is a freelance cataloguer with Artifact (http://www.artifact.ac.uk/), and Professor Scrivener at Chelsea College of Art and Design.
un_wiki (2006) exhibited in Connecting Worlds got Award of Distinction in the Net Vision category of Prix Ars Electronica in Linz (2006).
