• メディア・アーティスト／リンツ工科造形芸術大学メディア学部（オーストリア）教授

クリスタ・ソムラーは植物学と美術，ロラン・ミニョノーはメディアとヴィデオをそれぞれ専攻し，92年から共同で作品を発表．「生命システムとしてのアート（Art as Living System）」を掲げ，人工生命，コミュニケーション，ヴァーチャル・リアリティをテーマに，コンピュータを用いたインタラクティヴ作品を制作している．代表作に《A-Volve》（1994），《ライフ・スペイシーズ》（1997）など．

Christa Sommerer originally studied botany and art, and Laurent Mignonneau studied media and video art. In 1992 they teamed up and started their collaboration in the area of interactive computer installations. They came up with "Art as Living System" and continue creating under the theme of artificial life, communication and virtual reality. Their best known works are: 《A-Volve》（1994），《Life Spacies》（1997）etc.
